don't you need specific brake pads for crossdrilled rotors?

Excellent Price.  Good quality as well.  I purchased my Zinc coated drill rotors for the C6 from them.

Cross drilled rotors heat unevenly and that may cause premature cracking/failure. I'd go with slotted.

just my 2 cents though

I havent noticed anything on my rotors. They are about a year old but they also happen to be cross drilled and slotted.

Baer seems to think differently.  An if they are good enough for F1 cars, they are good enough for me.

The stress fractures that generally happen are from poor rotor quality.  The places that sell them are a dime a dozen, and 9/10 of em are from china, a country known for their poor metal quality throughout the manufaturing process.

I'm putting these on the Stang.

I have decided to keep it BTW.

I have plaaaans! muahahahahhaha!

Back in school i heard the same thing from the master techs, they say cross drilled rotors seem to always get hairline cracks where they are drilled, I myself would get slotted due to those teachings.

Well, just cause brembo or willwood or any other HIGH end brake company does it doesn't mean cheap chinese ebay parts will hold up to the abuse with the same design.

Like I said, just my 2 cents. I had some on my 240sx and they did get cracks.

That's exactly what I just said.

Poor metallurgical quality in the rotor is to blame for the cracks. If the manufacturer half asses or cheaps out on the quality of the steel, then the rotors are shit.

yeah I've heard that lots of times about cross driller rotors. and it was supposed to be even worse for the cross-driller AND slotted rotors. (where they do both to the rotor)

I anticipate going with either Baer or Brembo.. You just can't beat them...

but glad to know that I can by pads locally and cheaper.

since I do a lot of brake boosting I just buy autozone rotors and pads with the one year warranty. that way I have fresh brakes every month.
