WINDOWS 95?!?!

« on: November 17, 2009, 06:58:03 PM »

I just bought a new keyless entry remote for the Slow 94 (because the old piece of crap broke off the chain), and am having trouble programming it. Here is what I was told by a "pro" on how to do it.

Have both keyless remotes at the ready with strong batteries & make sure the vehicle has a good battery as well. (common sense, but you'd be surprised......) Open the trunk & remove the drivers side trunk panel. Once it is out of the way, you'll see one or two modules mounted to a bracket. Located near the modules is a connector that is not plugged in to anything & has only two terminals. Go ahead a grab a short piece of wire you can use as a jumper & coerce a buddy to help you out for a minute. Keep the remotes with you. Have your helper sit in the car with the doors shut & the windows up & the doors unlocked. Have them put the key in the ignition & turn it to the run position but DO NOT START THE CAR. As soon as the key is in the run position use the jumper wire to jumper the two terminals on the connector you located earlier. You'll hear the lock cycle to lock & then unlock again. Now hit one button on each remote (you can program a total of 4 remotes). Once you do this have your helper turn of the ignition & the locks will cycle once more. Your remotes are now programmed & you can test from proper operation.

I removed the proper panel, and here is what I see.

That red button is for your fuel cut off. the keyless module should be on the side.

go to the trunk by the left rear tail light pull down the panel and you will see a wire conector( gray) unplugged. turn the key on, touch the 2 termanal together for a sec. the doors will lock and unlock at this time. have all your remotes ready and press any button on each. one the doors will unlock then lock turn the key off and your done .

Are you referring to the gray connector below the fuel cut-off? Because I don't see any unplugged connectors there.

There are two gray connectors. One that's plugged in like in that picture and one that is just hanging around. It was on the drivers side next to some control module behind the panel. Just a gray connector with two pins. And my brother has a '95GT
