Im About To Buy A Cd Player For My Mustang. All Of The Radios I Have Listed In The Poll Have the Same Features. I Want SP's Opinion On Which Is The Best As Far As Sound Quality, Durability, Style, & Compatibility With Other Componets. It Would Help If You List Why You Chose The Brand You Did.

IMHO -

Clarion or Alpine would be the only two i would put in my car.

Jensen, Xplod, Boss, and JVC are crap. horribly built, limited features, (except the X-Plod, it has decent EQ features, but even still, it's pretty limited)

Clarion is by far the most economical. Not too expensive and very reliable. depending on the model, you could get the BASIC features and still stay around $100. I have the lowest model Clarion in my car, and i've had it for going on 3 years, and it still performs the same exact way it did when i first installed it.

Alpine are just good because of the incredible amount of features/add-ons. their build quality are just about par. my brother has one in his 350Z and it's maybe a year old and it's already giving him problems.

pioneer units are alright, i'm just not a big fan of the useability. pioneer TS's are hard to use.

The only good kenwoods are the TS series. i'm more a fan of the single-Din motorized flip-out. the double-dins have the same features for the most part, but the singles just look better. we had a 7" TS demo at Fry's when i worked there and we put that thing through hell and it never gave us problems. those also have some pretty good EQ features.

So Far Im Thinking Of Goin With The Clarion CZ509
It's A Little More Than What I Want To Pay But It's Also The Cheapest Quality Unit That Has Bluetooth Built In

i have been through 4 different alpine models and love them. the only reason i switched is to get different features lol. right now i have the x100 which is ipod only, no cd player. i love it. i have the hookup run into my glove box and just connect my ipod and go. everything is controlled by the head unit. its amazing and i have never had any problems with my alpines.

but like stated above, go with what makes u happy Smiley
