i dont think it was a fair comparison.....they talking the top dog camaro ss, vs the base mod gt and the base mod r/t.........i think they should compare the ss to the gt500 and the srt 8......i thik if they did that things would be hella different.........why compare the king to the pawn?? dont make sense.

PRICE RANGE was the factor. The ss can be had for around 31, same as the Gt , and same as the r/t challenger

thats why they end up with an unfair comparrison, i think they should compare power for power or engine for engine, dont make sense to compare chevy's 6.2L vs fords 4.6L and dont make sense, but i saw in motor trend mag that the chevy ran a 13.0/13.4 guessin 5spd and auto??? and the gt ran a 13.5/13.6 so even if chevy is crown'd best out the three, fords pushin 110hp less then chevy and ran damn near the same time, truly sad!!! the 2010 gt weighs 350 and the ss weighs 3800 so you cant say its the weight, but jus that ford makes better performing engines

explain the z28....................thank you, the only reason why chevy didnt put a lighter v8 into production was cuz they didnt have the funding for it, as for why they only have a v6...and the ss, where as ford has oh.......ALL the types of mustangs theyv had since.............THEY STARTED the mustang family, fine you wanna compare price for price, go ahead, fact still remains, you take chevy 6.2L vs fords 5.4L chevy walks away with its tail between thiers legs every time, and the original engine for the 22 was a 6.0.........but they changed it and put a 6.2 as to why the camaro was delaid for 2 yrs, it was supose to com out in 2007, you kno when tranformers aired, but due to them goin BROKE they had no choice but to skip the small v8 and only produce a v6 and a big L v8, at least dodge is staying to the production line, hell even pontiac is staying to thier production line and they are GM as is Chevy, but then again pontiac ALWAYS did out perform chevy, so the real competition for ford isnt chevy its pontiac, sad but true.and jus for the record..........the ss market price was around 45-55k when they stated they were gonna produce a small v8 but when they saw they didnt have any money the cut pricing for the camaro by not making the small v8........again SAD but TRUE

if your gonna buy a v8 and bitch about the gas, then buy a honda and do what they all do and swap the engine, and if you really wanna talk about blowers and N/A the zr1 has a blower correct?? 725 to the crank about 682 to the wheels, and what a 7.0 engine (might be wrong if so im sorry) runs around 11.5 in the 1/4 the shelby super snake has a 5.4 with a blower also, and 725hp too....but its 725 TO THE WHEELS and runs a low 11....hmmm not to mention that ford bought a chevy ls7 and drop'd it in a ford gt, the poor car ran a low 12 compared to the 5.4 blown that runs a 11.5 stock out the factory, and after SVT tuned the ls7 they had CHEVYS  engine cranking out more power then chevy could crank out thier own shit and ran a low 11 also, chevy got good engines dont get me wrong, the 02 w5.6 TA was a bad bitch..........wait im sorry that was pontiac........the 6.0 chevy ss is a.........well nvm bad example..........ummmmm.........ok well looks like the ONLY car that chevy made that was worth anything was the z06........but it ran a 11.7 and they threw a blower and cranked another 125hp and only improved .2 secs.........so not much to brag bout if you ask me........ok well they made NICE looking cars how about that?? atleast the rappers buy the shit out of them so atleast chevy has that going for them

An engine that is physically the same size as a mod motor, that make 100 more hp, with ALOT held back at the factory, that gets 30% better fuel economy, that responds to mods much easier than a mod motor.... Yea  who would want that???

UMMMM no........see the mach 1 put the same numbers the camaros and TAs did and its a 4.6, jus cuz the company makes an engine that is held back from its fll potenial dont mean they cant make power without a blower, they are smart they want ppl to buy an engine that THEY THEMSELVES car lovers and race fanatics can build and make power themselves vs chevy making a car thats so ''strong'' defeats the purpose of build it....again thats why chevy is hurting money wise, and fords not the 2010 mustang took them out the loop of broke ass dealerships, as to why pontiac is thinking of serperating from GM cause they are the only ones that are pulling numbers, but hey to each his own i guess, fact still remains a 4.6 vs a 6.2 and only a .2-.3 sec. diff in the 1/4 is pathetic

Im just saying FORD 4.6 has ALOT to be desired. The coyote engine will be Fords saving grace, because it is the first time they will be able to pull decent HP number out of one their N/A v8s.

Ford has relied on boost to make up for their lack of motor for too long, and it will be nice to see something worth buying in a motor from ford.
