tranny issues on the stang

well not that long i noticed a knocking sound that only happens when i shift into either reverse, 1st, and 2nd gear shifts.,and it happens while letting off the clutch,.. the only way to avoid that knock is tu put a bit more gas into the shift then usual what dose it sound like it is guys?

Paranoia! just slack in the gearing, mine does it every now and then.

it does it every time i shift and dont put more gas into it,.not once in a while ,. all the time ,..i didint mind it at first but it sounds like its getting bad

like Alex said probably slack in the gears, but you might also want ot check the fluid level. It could be vibrations from a old fluids.
Where does the sound come from? How loud is it? Does it do it in normal shifting or are are you riding the clutch when you are hearing it?

yeah, sounds like slack in the gears. Could be bad backlash, could be less fluid, or maybe even axle issue.

Yeah, backlash, worn gears could be alot of issues, even U joints.

well i been wanting to put in a aluminum drive shaft,.so im ordering one of those ,. gears,. and shocks for the rear,. and some axles also,..
