misfire

So I think I have a misfire somewhere. I was listening to my car at about a 3000rpm idle and it kept popping, suggesting to me that either the plugs have gone bad (already) or that one of those MSD coils is getting worse. Problem is it is so intermittent it is hard to diagnose. And I still can't shake the feeling that something is restricting the power in the car. unless it really is all about the gears, I am probably going to yank the motor out late May and rebuild it again. If I do that, I may even go ahead and put that Kenne Bell on top of the mill!

i'd start with yanking out and examining the spark plugs & measure the coil on plugs COPs (you might have a weak & resistive COP)

popping noise?
we could be looking at a fuel problem then and not ignition

Mine started doing that after I upgraded my fuel pump to 255lph than I had to get 8mm wires and new coil packs. I have heard that MSD coils are bad, your stock coils hold up better than the MSD.

see, I've been thinking all along I had a fuel problem and a ignition problem. That might also explain the fact that I only pulled 285 on the rear off motor only. I know good damn and well that what I did to that car should put it well over 300 rwhp. I mean, just look at all the damn mods I listed.... I put in a cobra GT pump, but the actuator arm sits wrong because when my guage shows 1/8 tank it is actually empty. I also am pretty sure that I have some dirt in the bottom of the tank, and therefore the pump could be burning up cause the sock is clogged. I also have been suspect of those coils, and I have heard that about MSD coils before. I am gonna be PISSED if I paid $450 for those coils and they go to shit.
I am gonna check the plugs on Friday, and If I get time, I'm gonna yank that tank and check for problems. Any other suggestions?

Get the tank out dump the gas out and get a new filter or "sock" I have been told this is retarded but it works. Get a leaf blower and while the tank is upside down and elevated blow through the filler hole and all the dirt should come out.

I had a similar problem in one of my old cars, I changed everything and it ended up being a bad Ground wire from the battery to the Block

That was one of his problems the last time, but no one listens to someone who works on this shit everyday.
