allstate, statefarm, progressive, geico
almost all of the "auto" insurance companies also handle renters and home owners insurance
have your mom call whoever she has auto thru and usually you get a discount for having both

no she had her apartments get her coverage, but its like $25 per month and some one told her that was to much so she is trying to get a new quote
some one said that they pay$8 per month

I never had any so don't know anything about it

she got a quote from someone, but it sounded strange to me

The agent told her she will pay $23 per month for 5 months only and that she will have coverage for the rest of the year
so that will make it $9.5 per month if you were to break it down.

Does that sound normal ? to only pay for first 5 months

rest of the year means she will have to renew in january
so 5 months is about right

I use to pay 12 a month but it all depends on what she has covered

why would the apartments require it since they have their own insurance and renters is going to cover her belongings not the complex!
when i worked w/ fred loya they did homeowners and it was an annual policy and they have options were you could the the premium in 4 or 8 months and but you'd be covered for the whole 12 months! diffrent companies work diffrent ways!

Not sure why they require it, they are some high dolla apartments on North Dallas
Is only a little 1 bedroom and she pays more than I did on my big 2 bedroom in Irving
