Don't waste your money, that intake you have is good for upto 3-400 HP. A 2v 99-04 has 260HP at the flywheel and 280TQ. If you want more power your next step is cams, port polished heads. Don;t waste 500-700 on an intake you will not notice much of a difference.

I felt the same way. But it only builds your experience.

I'm still frightened to change them on my jeep though cause I'll probably end up breaking something.

But hey learn from your mistakes.

Stock motor can't handle bigger than a 175 shot(atleast I wouldn't try it).

Plus people don't know what your running if they popped the hood.

100 shot is safe on stock GT with stock tune

I ran upto 150 on a V6 with no problems as long as you tune the car and know when to use it
I can show you everything I know if you're really interested

100 shot can knock off 1 second at the track

on 99-04 GT's the first thing to go out is the plastic intake
As long as you don't go nitrous happy, Nitrous can be safer than any other power adder

There is many safety features you can add to a kit, for example "Fuel Pressure Cut off switch"
if fuel pressure drops it will disable the nitrous.    Can you can cut off a turbo or SC ?  No
Also nitrous only works during WOT = you engine is already in motion with hi revs so it doesn't put as much stress on the pistons like boost does

And i can keep going all day long

Nitrous is a dangerous thing when you have it on the streets.

It probably depends on what system you get to get the cut off switch.

Why is NITROUS dangerous ?    You need to stop watching  the F&F

The fuel cut off switch is sold separate and can be added to any kit

I just rebuilt my motor and if you haven't done it before, you should DEFINITELY Not do it alone. And don't waste money on that intake. Alex is correct on that.

1# is not illegal to have nitrous in your car, is only illegal if the line has pressure ( Purge kit FTW  )
2# Can you tell me how many people die each year due to nitrous ? Nitrous doesn't kill people "MORONS" like you call them, kill people
3# $3.50 a pound is the cheapest HP around

Come on buddy, let it go

I still don't think it's safe. But obviously I can't out smart you.

That's a lot for some juice man.

How much would two seconds on the switch use?

It depends on the size shot,  I never sprayed for only two seconds so don't know
but you can get about 5 good,  1/8 of a mile runs on a 100 shot with a bottle warmer

With the 100 shot on mine, including the fact that I have a bottle heater and two purge lines (1 purge valve that splits off), I can run about 8 times hitting it for about 4-5 seconds. And yea, it cost's me $37.50 to fill that 10lb bottle at Lone Star. It makes me think that someone like you is exactly someone that does not need to use it ever. And generally the ones using nitrous have experience with it. You don't see many people put a system in their car and then go blasting it when they have never done it before. You're just trying to look smart and you failed, LOL!
