It all depends
do you have a auto or 5speed ?

IMO Best headers are KOOKS, but they are expensive

MAC makes descent long tubes at reasonable prices, but make sure you get the ceramic coated to prevent rust

5spd and i didnt tnk kooks were good , what about bbk.  and about MAC i heard they werent really that great.

i've only had one pair of long tubes (mac) and i'm happy w/ them. i know it's a big improvement from stock manifolds!

if you go to a specialty shop like gearheads, dallas mustangs, etc. they'll tell you that since you're going to be running mac longtubes then you have to use a mac mid pipe but i used then one that i already had (bassani x-pipe) just had the exhaust shop modify to make it fit.
if you already have one then just use that, IMO

Me. I think you need to talk to Big E he got them installed the same day for about 400. If  I install them it will take a while cause i hardly have any time left with work and my POS!

Yea the guy who installed mine did mine the same day and he was a one man team answerin the phone helping out customers and still got tha job done!!!!!!

i dropped my car off at 8:45 he didnt have time to work on it till 10:00 and we got done at 6:00(with a lunch break) but the only reason he took so long was b/c he was reeeeeeeallllly busy i had to help him out with the install i didnt mind cuz i learned something new. he charged me 350 cuz i helped n stuff but normally he charges 400

well in a recent article I actually saw that the macs performed the best out of a long list of long tubes on s197's the downside is that they said they were a pain in the ass to install and the fitment was not great.
