Can a mini spool be installed with out removing the gears out of the carrier ?
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MGR-MS88-31&N=700+4294925134+4294839047+4294912505+4294901314+4294790831+115&autoview=sku

I would like to install this my self, but don't have the tools or knowledge to realign the gears my self
has anyone done it before ?

I dont believe they can. the mini spool replaces the spider gears. thats in the middle of the diff. im 90% positive you have to pull the carrier.

I have replaced spider gears with out removing the carrier, you just take off the pin and turn one axle until they pop out.
so basically I have to remove the spider gears and pull both axles out install the mini spool,
does it eliminate the C clips ?

I have never seen a minispool up close. It depends on its size. It might fit into the opening on the side of carrier, then again it might completely take up all the space on the inside, so i dont know what to tell you.

It looks really simple to install and there is no need to remove the carrier.
